Replacement windows are custom built to be installed within an existing window opening. Installing replacement windows is usually a quick process because no parts of the home’s exterior (like siding or brick) need to be removed. Replacement windows are a less invasive renovation project than installing new construction windows, and because of the short installation time, you’ll save money. Our team of experts at Weaver can help you select the perfect replacement window to enhance the beauty and functionality of your home.

MAIN FEATURES
Energy Efficient
Replacement windows will vastly improve your home’s energy efficiency. Window technology has come a long way since your windows were installed 20 or even 10 years ago. New climate specialized glass options, as well as new weather stripping, will prevent heat loss in the winter and prevent heat gain in the summer. Replacement windows can be installed easily from indoors so you can give your home an upgrade no matter the season.
Easy Maintenance
One of the great things we love about vinyl windows is that they are so easy to maintain. This goes for your replacement windows too! Vinyl windows don’t need strong cleaning chemicals and will in fact last longer when washed with mild soaps, and the custom coloured trims we offer won’t need to be repainted.
Match Your Decor
Your new replacement windows will be custom built to the measurements of your existing window opening. You can take this chance to ensure your windows match your style and decor. At Weaver we offer a wide range of colours and finishes for your custom vinyl windows, to give your home’s curb appeal a boost.
Fully Welded Sash & Frame
Weaver replacement windows are engineered with a fully welded sash and frame. This adds structural support to the window and improves its overall longevity. Corner joints in window frames are the most common places for moisture to enter your home. With fully welded sash and frame windows, moisture and air leakage are prevented with a tight seal.

Lifetime Warranty on Windows
At Weaver we are proud to offer our customers a unique Lifetime Warranty on our products. For no extra charge, we cover all window components including hardware, window frames and sashes, insulated glass, and even accidental glass breakage. The Weaver Lifetime Warranty is how we go above and beyond to care for our customers.
COLOURS & GRILLES
Colours & Finishes
At Weaver we can custom build windows to your exact specifications! This includes offering our customers a vast selection of different shades of vinyl for your new replacement windows. Bold tones and soft tones will bring new life to your space!
Grilles
Replacement windows can also be installed with window grilles. Window grilles are aluminum bars that run inside or along the window glass to create square or rectangular patterns. Grilles are a traditional element of window design that give your exterior a pop of texture. Window grilles can also be removable for easy maintenance!
GLASS & HARDWARE
Hardware
Weaver replacement windows can be custom built and installed with your choice of Encore Truth Hardware. Encore window hardware is the top of the line in both security and functionality. It is extremely user friendly, requiring up to 33% less effort to operate.
Tinted Glass
Like all Weaver windows, custom built replacement windows can be fit with tinted glass to give you added daytime privacy. Tinted glass controls the sun’s glare and gives you privacy during the day by reflecting light back outwards. Custom tinted glass is available in a bronze or a gray tone.
Climate Specialized
We at Weaver have had years of experience dealing with the extreme cold in Barrie. We can custom build your replacement windows with climate specialized glass options that will help mitigate heat loss during the winter months. Energy Advantage Low-E Glass has a high Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) that will not only prevent heat loss, it will also prevent heat gain during the hot, humid summer.
Obscure or Privacy Glass
Privacy glass differs from tinted glass because it provides permanent privacy during the day or night, regardless of interior or exterior lighting conditions. These privacy glass panes come in various translucent textures including frosted, satin or glue chip, all of which are great options for replacement bathroom or basement windows.
Double Glazing
Double glazed glass panes have an extra layer of insulation to prevent thermal heat transfer. If you want to improve your heating and cooling costs with replacement windows, Weaver will install double glazed windows which are the best option due to their extreme energy efficiency.
Argon or Krypton Gas Filled
Argon and Krypton are colourless non-toxic gases that can be used as insulators between glass window panes. These gases move slowly between sealed window panes to reduce heat transfer. Argon and Krypton filled windows are an excellent energy efficient option for your custom replacement windows!

Energy Star Ratings Criteria
The ENERGY STAR® Technical Specification for Residential Windows, Doors, and Skylights Sold in Canada is a set of guidelines issued by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) that determines the criteria for qualifying for the ENERGY STAR initiative. The specification outlines the requirements that residential windows, doors, and skylights must meet to be promoted as ENERGY STAR qualified in Canada. Manufacturers must sign an arrangement with NRCan and ensure that their products meet the specified criteria to be considered for the ENERGY STAR label. This specification is crucial for ensuring that energy-efficient products are available to Canadian consumers, and that manufacturers are held to a high standard of quality and efficiency. Energy Star Ratings by Region
Climate zones in Canada are based on heating degree day (HDD) values and determine the appropriate energy efficiency standards for buildings and products. The Model National Building Code (2010) outlines the HDD values used to classify specific locations on a map. The zones help ensure buildings and products meet the appropriate energy efficiency standards for their location, which reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Read this helpful article.
Energy Star Performance Search
To be labeled as ENERGY STAR certified, windows and doors must meet certain energy efficiency requirements. The two main factors that determine this are the U-factor, which measures how much heat is lost through the window or door, and the Energy Rating (ER), which considers the passive solar heat gain and overall heat loss and air leakage of the product. A lower U-factor and a higher ER mean better energy efficiency. Read more in this helpful article.
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends refers to the increasing trend of homeowners and businesses adopting energy-efficient practices and technologies. This is driven by the desire to reduce energy consumption and costs, while also promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. The Canadian government has also been promoting energy efficiency through various programs and policies, such as the Energy Efficiency Regulations, which establish minimum energy performance standards for various products. The trend towards energy efficiency is expected to continue as more people become aware of its benefits and as technology continues to improve. Read more...
FAQS
Are my windows custom size?
At Weaver we construct every window to your specific dimensions and preferences. So in a way, there are no “standard dimensions” and every window is custom. The only thing that’s standard is high quality.
How long will the window be missing after you take the old one out?
Typically it takes 5 minutes from the time the old window is removed and the new one is installed. After the insulation is secured around the new window, your nest is protected from the outside elements.
Can you replace my brick window sills without my window falling out?
Yes we can! The needed masonry work can be done under your existing window or door because windows and doors are actually fastened to the frame of your house, not the masonry. It's important however to keep an eye on the bricks around your doors and windows, as loose bricks are a safety concern.
How does the consultation process work?
After you request a quote from Weaver, one of our sales consultants will schedule a call with you to discuss your project. Following that, we conduct an on-site visit at your convenience, to assess the full scope of your needs and the project itself. Once we digest all the details from our visit, we develop and send you a custom proposal, explaining how we plan to get the job done right.
