MAIN FEATURES
Energy Efficient
At Weaver, our entry doors are custom built to your exact specifications. We ensure that your entrance door installation is done with the highest attention to detail, ensuring a tight and secure seal to keep out the extreme heat and extreme cold temperatures. Using only the best quality materials, we use steel and fiberglass to design your custom entry door so that it won’t bow and the frame won’t warp. At Weaver we are proud to install Energy Star certified products for our clients. Energy Star certifications make it easier for Canadians to select the best quality products to reduce their energy consumption.
Security
Installing the highest quality security locks for the protection of your home is of critical importance to us. We offer various grip sets, deadbolts and knobs, and lever style handles that are available in five different finishes to match your door colour and exterior decor, while also keeping your home secure. We also carry a selection of digital smart lock handles so that you don’t have to worry about forgetting your keys.
Match Your Decor
Weaver offers a range of custom colours and finishes for your front door that won’t fade or need to be repainted. With a spectrum ranging from bright whites to deep darks, you’ll find a shade that matches your personality and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Steel and fiberglass options are available to suit your needs and style.
Door Lites & Venting Units
Door lites are small windows in your entry door that give an added element of flair and function. Door lites allow natural light to enter your home and they can be installed in custom shapes and sizes. Venting units are small single hung windows that can be easily opened from inside to allow for fresh air to circulate and improve air quality. If you’re looking for a natural light source for your entryway but don’t want a door lite, Weaver can also install transoms as part of our exterior remodeling services. Transoms are small non-opening or opening windows installed above your entry door.
Lifetime Warranty on Entry Doors
In addition to the manufacturer’s warranty on your new entry door system, at Weaver we provide our clients with a lifetime labour warranty, so that if you need anything replaced, we’ll take care of the installation at no additional charge.
COLOURS & GRILLES
Colours & Finishes
At Weaver we are pleased to offer our clients a wide selection of colour variants for your new entry door system! With over 30 custom colours for fibreglass or steel entry doors, these vibrant tones won’t fade over time or need to be repainted. At Weaver you are able to select the best colour to match your exterior colour palette and you never have to compromise on your dream home exterior makeover.
Grilles
Should you choose a custom designed entry door that has a door lite, Weaver offers a selection of grille options for your entry. Grilles can be installed between the glass panes for easy maintenance, or they can be installed on the surface of the glass for a more traditional and textured look.
GLASS & DESIGNS
Caming Finishes
Decorative glass designs are a great way to showcase your personal style with your new entry door. Window caming is a traditional decorative glass door feature that joins together pieces of glass into ornate designs and patterns. We offer four beautiful and classic caming finishes including brass, satin nickel, black chrome and patina so that you can perfectly coordinate your door lite with your security hardware. We offer several geometric patterned options that are available with clear glass or privacy glass.
Wrought Iron Glass
Wrought iron glass is another beautiful entry door installation option that will bring out your personality. For these windows, wrought iron is twisted and curved into a beautifully styled pattern that fits the window opening. The iron is then placed between two panes of glass in the entry door. Typically the front panel is clear glass, and the back panel is frosted, so that people entering can see the gorgeous design, but can’t see into your house. We offer three styles of entry door wrought iron glass.
Glass Finishes
Much like our windows, we offer several custom glass options as we build your entry door to your exact specifications. With over two dozen glass options for you to choose from, you can select from a wide range of transparencies. Obscure and textured glass options let in natural light while providing permanent privacy.
Executive Panels
If you are looking to add natural light, but don’t think door lites are the right option for you, consider executive panels! Executive panels are narrow panes of glass, available in several textured options, that are installed on either side of the entry door, centering and framing it beautifully. With several pattern options available, you can install executive panels to coordinate and complement either a solid door or a door lite, for an elegant and well lit entrance way.
HARDWARE OPTIONS
Mini Blinds
With so many options for door lites it can be hard to make a final decision. If you can’t decide between clear glass and permanent privacy, look no further than Weaver’s internal mini blinds. Installed in between the glass panes of your door lites, you never have to worry about dusting these blinds. They are easy to operate and they let you decide how much light enters the room, while providing privacy in the evenings. Mini blinds are also extremely safe because they have no cords.
Hardware Styles
Protecting your home with top of the line security is our main priority when installing new entry door systems. We use only the highest quality products in a range of styles and metallic and brushed satin finishes. With your choice of round or oval door handles, modern lever style handles or grip sets, you’ll be able to easily show off your style. Each one of our entry door hardware options can be paired with a deadbolt, which keeps your entryway extremely secure.
Smart Lock Technology
Our levers, knobs, deadbolts and grip sets can be paired with smart lock technology so you won’t have to worry about your keys ever again. Our security systems come in a range of modern and traditional styles, and can be finished in half a dozen colours that range from light to dark. These styles allow you to coordinate with your door colour and caming finishes so that you get a gorgeous unified look that you will love.

Energy Star Ratings Criteria
The ENERGY STAR® Technical Specification for Residential Windows, Doors, and Skylights Sold in Canada is a set of guidelines issued by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) that determines the criteria for qualifying for the ENERGY STAR initiative. The specification outlines the requirements that residential windows, doors, and skylights must meet to be promoted as ENERGY STAR qualified in Canada. Manufacturers must sign an arrangement with NRCan and ensure that their products meet the specified criteria to be considered for the ENERGY STAR label. This specification is crucial for ensuring that energy-efficient products are available to Canadian consumers, and that manufacturers are held to a high standard of quality and efficiency. Energy Star Ratings by Region
Climate zones in Canada are based on heating degree day (HDD) values and determine the appropriate energy efficiency standards for buildings and products. The Model National Building Code (2010) outlines the HDD values used to classify specific locations on a map. The zones help ensure buildings and products meet the appropriate energy efficiency standards for their location, which reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Read this helpful article.
Energy Star Performance Search
To be labeled as ENERGY STAR certified, windows and doors must meet certain energy efficiency requirements. The two main factors that determine this are the U-factor, which measures how much heat is lost through the window or door, and the Energy Rating (ER), which considers the passive solar heat gain and overall heat loss and air leakage of the product. A lower U-factor and a higher ER mean better energy efficiency. Read more in this helpful article.
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends refers to the increasing trend of homeowners and businesses adopting energy-efficient practices and technologies. This is driven by the desire to reduce energy consumption and costs, while also promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. The Canadian government has also been promoting energy efficiency through various programs and policies, such as the Energy Efficiency Regulations, which establish minimum energy performance standards for various products. The trend towards energy efficiency is expected to continue as more people become aware of its benefits and as technology continues to improve. Read more...
FAQS
Do you hire sub-contractors to complete projects?
At Weaver we have an expert in-house team of tradespeople that are our greatest asset. With our team, no details get lost in the scramble to coordinate your project. Our staff members are expertly skilled in a range of installation techniques and are valued as the backbone of our company.
do you do remodeling work during the winter?
Weaver has been proudly serving the Bruce Grey Simcoe County area for over 20 years and doing that means sometimes we have to brave the elements. We operate year-round to complete exterior home remodeling projects for our clients to fit with their busy schedules. Whatever season works best for you, that’s when we’ll get the job done.
can you replace the deteriorating brickwork around my door, without the door falling out?
Yes we can! The needed masonry work can be done under your existing window or door because windows and doors are actually fastened to the frame of your house, not the masonry. It's important however to keep an eye on the bricks around your doors and windows, as loose bricks are a safety concern.
how does the consultation process work?
After you request a quote from Weaver, one of our sales consultants will schedule a call with you to discuss your project. Following that, we conduct an on-site visit at your convenience, to assess the full scope of your needs and the project itself. Once we digest all the details from our visit, we develop and send you a custom proposal, explaining how we plan to get the job done right.
