Casement windows have sashes that open outwards with the sash hinged to one side of the window frame. New casement windows provide the best seal against air infiltration because the window sash is pressed and locked tightly to the window frame. They can be installed to open either left or right. Vinyl casement windows are user friendly and when paired with the right hardware, create a sleek and modern style in any room. At Weaver Exterior Remodeling, we offer a wide range of casement windows in different styles and materials to suit any home's design and budget. Our team of experts can help you select the perfect casement window to enhance the beauty and functionality of your home.

MAIN FEATURES
Energy Efficient
Insulated glass window-panes prevent heat loss in the winter because they have slow-moving non-toxic gases moving between the panes. This reflects the heat from your furnace back into your home in the winter and reflects the sun’s heat back outwards during the hot humid summer. Vinyl casement windows provide the tightest seal against heat loss and air infiltration because they seal and lock so tightly into the window frame.
Easy Maintenance
One of the great things we love about vinyl windows is that they are famously easy to care for. With casement windows, cleaning the inside only requires that you remove the screen. For cleaning the exterior of the window, you need only open the window slightly and reach around to the outside surface. Vinyl casement windows don’t need strong cleaning chemicals, but rather they can be washed with a mild soap.
Match Your Decor
Whether it’s texture or colour, at Weaver we offer a wide selection of vinyl window components to match your decor. We offer classic colours as well as functional, stylish window hardware. We can also custom fit windows to almost any dimensions. So whether you are coordinating with your wall colour or flooring, we have the styles that will suit you.
Fully Welded Sash & Frame
At Weaver, our windows are engineered and installed with a fully welded sash and frame. This provides structural support and improves the longevity of the window. With fully welded sash and frame windows, the corner joints are welded together which eliminates seams and creates the tightest seal possible against air leakage and moisture.

COLOURS & GRILLES
Colours & Finishes
We are pleased to offer vinyl casement windows in a variety of colours and shades to match your decor. From soft earthy tones to bolder shades, coordinating with your wall paint or flooring colour is simple. With many colour variants to choose from, vinyl windows retain their vibrancy and never have to be repainted.
Grilles
Windows grilles run horizontally and vertically, over or through panes of window glass. This creates the appearance of multiple small squares of glass fused together. Installing removable grilles or installing grilles in between the glass means that cleaning your casement windows is easy! We also offer Simulated Divided Lite grilles which are attached to both sides of the glass, giving the exterior of your home an element of texture without compromising the energy efficiency of the window.
GLASS & HARDWARE
Encore Handles
Encore Truth handles are the leading brand in window hardware. They offer several folding handles for casement windows that can be tucked away when not in use, for a modern look that doesn’t get caught on window coverings. Encore Truth hardware provides exceptional security and their innovative designs use up to 33% less effort to operate.
Tinted Glass
Tinted vinyl window glass provides day time privacy that prevents people from seeing into your home from outside. Tinted in either a bronze or gray tone, tinted glass controls the sun’s glare and reflects it back outwards to reduce visibility. These tinted tones allow for natural light to easily pass through and brighten your space, while giving the exterior a modern look.
Climate Specialized
Here at Weaver we’ve had quite a bit of experience dealing with the extreme cold temperatures in Barrie. That’s why we provide a selection of Energy Advantage Low-E glass options that will help lower your heating and cooling costs. Low-E glass has a high Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), which means the glass reflects heat outwards in the summertime and also reflects your furnace’s heat back into your home in the wintertime. Energy Advantage Low-E glass will keep you comfortable, no matter the weather.
Obscure or Privacy Glass
Textured glass is a good option to consider for basement casement windows. Unlike tinted glass, textured glass provides permanent privacy regardless of interior or exterior light. Textured glass such as satin, frosted or glue chip also work wonderfully well for bathroom windows.
Double Glazing
Another way Weaver can help you reduce your home energy costs is by offering double glazed windows as well. Perfectly suited for the winters here in Barrie, double glazed vinyl windows have two layers of glass for noise reduction and insulated protection against heat loss. The panes are separated and sealed to prevent condensation.
Argon or Krypton Gas Filled
Argon and Krypton are naturally occurring noble gases that can be used as insulators between window glass. Odourless and colourless, these gases move slowly between the window panes to reduce thermal heat transfer through the window. They work to reduce your energy costs by minimizing heat loss in winter and heat gain in the summer.
PERFORMANCE
Energy Star Ratings Criteria
In Canada, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has created a set of guidelines called the ENERGY STAR® Technical Specification for Residential Windows, Doors, and Skylights. These guidelines are important for determining the qualifications required to be promoted under the ENERGY STAR program. The specification sets out the standards that must be met by manufacturers of residential windows, doors, and skylights in order to receive ENERGY STAR certification. Manufacturers must sign an agreement with NRCan and ensure that their products meet the specific requirements to receive the ENERGY STAR label. This specification is important for ensuring that Canadian consumers have access to energy-efficient products that meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
Energy Star Ratings by Region
In Canada, climate zones are determined by heating degree day (HDD) values that are used to establish energy efficiency standards for buildings and products. The Model National Building Code (2010) provides guidelines for HDD values that classify different areas on a map. These climate zones aim to guarantee that buildings and products comply with the applicable energy efficiency standards for their location, thus decreasing energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions. Check out this informative article for more information.
Energy Star Performance Search
In order to receive the ENERGY STAR certification, windows and doors must meet specific standards for energy efficiency. The U-factor and Energy Rating (ER) are the key factors used to determine this, with the U-factor measuring the amount of heat lost and the ER assessing overall heat loss, air leakage, and passive solar heat gain. Improved energy efficiency is indicated by a lower U-factor and higher ER. Refer to this informative article for more information.
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends
The Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends indicate a growing inclination among both residential and commercial property owners towards energy-efficient methods and technologies. This shift is motivated by the need to cut down on energy expenses and consumption, and simultaneously promote sustainability and environmental consciousness. The Canadian government has also been actively encouraging energy efficiency by implementing programs and policies like the Energy Efficiency Regulations, which set benchmarks for energy performance for diverse products. As people become more cognizant of the advantages of energy efficiency and technology advances further, this trend is anticipated to persist and expand.
FAQS
Are my windows custom size?
At Weaver we construct every window to your specific dimensions and preferences. So in a way, there are no “standard dimensions” and every window is custom. The only thing that’s standard is high quality.
How long will the window be missing after you take the old one out?
Typically it takes 5 minutes from the time the old window is removed and the new one is installed. After the insulation is secured around the new window, your nest is protected from the outside elements.
Can you replace my brick window sills without my window falling out?
Yes we can! The needed masonry work can be done under your existing window or door because windows and doors are actually fastened to the frame of your house, not the masonry. It's important however to keep an eye on the bricks around your doors and windows, as loose bricks are a safety concern.
How does the consultation process work?
After you request a quote from Weaver, one of our sales consultants will schedule a call with you to discuss your project. Following that, we conduct an on-site visit at your convenience, to assess the full scope of your needs and the project itself. Once we digest all the details from our visit, we develop and send you a custom proposal, explaining how we plan to get the job done right.
