FAQS
MAIN FEATURES
Energy Efficient
A Weaver masonry alteration will save you money while updating the look of your home. Sealing up nooks and cracks can save you money on your energy costs by preventing heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer. Repairing the small openings that a home acquires over time also helps you prevent pests from entering your home and causing further damage.

Masonry Repair Services
With over 20 years in the industry, we’re prepared to tackle any job, no matter how big. Our team at Weaver is trained and skilled in a range of masonry repair techniques including brick and chimney restoration, brick and stone window sill repair, vehicle impact repairs, concrete block repair, creating and infilling openings for windows or doors and many more.
Warranty on Masonry Alterations
We have a range of warranty coverage based on the scope of your masonry alteration project. We offer a five year manufacture and labour warranty on brick window sill replacements and partial chimney rebuilds. For exterior brick replacement, stone window sill repair and flagstone installation Weaver offers 10 year warranty coverage. Lastly, masonry tinting and all interior brickwork is covered for 25 years.

BRICKWORK
Brickwork
For any brickwork repairs we do, we offer our clients eight options for brick, ranging in shades from light to dark and textures ranging from traditional to contemporary, to ensure that your new exterior matches perfectly to your existing brick. Each style and shade is as durable as the last, and these clay brick options have a variety of size options as well so your chimney or window sill repair will be uniform.

Parging
Our parging services help seal small cracks in your foundation and prevents these small cracks from worsening with exposure to the elements. Parging is a masonry service we offer in which a mortar coating is applied to either poured or block foundation concrete that is visible above ground. Parging is an aesthetic improvement that provides protection against bad weather which we are pretty famous for getting here in Barrie. Cement parging is available in a range of colours to best match your existing siding or brickwork.
Mortar Joint Restoration
Mortar is a type of course cement that is used in between bricks and stones to hold everything in place. Over time and repeated exposure to harsh weather, mortar joints can deteriorate. It’s important to keep up repairs and we are here to help! We can colour match to your existing mortar so you can update your home with a uniform look.

CULTURED STONE
Cultured Stone
What is cultured stone? Cultured stone is a manufactured alternative to using real stone. Cultured stone is made by pouring coloured cement into a mould. The result is a much lighter product that is easy for us install and creates a beautiful rustic exterior for your home.

Cultured Stone Installation
When working with real stone, our team can custom cut and chip pieces to fit as needed. When working with cultured stone however, chipping the stone pieces is not an option because you’ll end up chipping the paint and exposing the concrete centre. Sometimes you’ll also find the same stone twice, because they’re all made in similar moulds. Cultured stone is a cost effective and charming way to enhance the exterior of your home.

Energy Star Ratings Criteria
The ENERGY STAR® Technical Specification for Residential Windows, Doors, and Skylights Sold in Canada is a set of guidelines issued by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) that determines the criteria for qualifying for the ENERGY STAR initiative. The specification outlines the requirements that residential windows, doors, and skylights must meet to be promoted as ENERGY STAR qualified in Canada. Manufacturers must sign an arrangement with NRCan and ensure that their products meet the specified criteria to be considered for the ENERGY STAR label. This specification is crucial for ensuring that energy-efficient products are available to Canadian consumers, and that manufacturers are held to a high standard of quality and efficiency. Energy Star Ratings by Region
Climate zones in Canada are based on heating degree day (HDD) values and determine the appropriate energy efficiency standards for buildings and products. The Model National Building Code (2010) outlines the HDD values used to classify specific locations on a map. The zones help ensure buildings and products meet the appropriate energy efficiency standards for their location, which reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Read this helpful article.
Energy Star Performance Search
To be labeled as ENERGY STAR certified, windows and doors must meet certain energy efficiency requirements. The two main factors that determine this are the U-factor, which measures how much heat is lost through the window or door, and the Energy Rating (ER), which considers the passive solar heat gain and overall heat loss and air leakage of the product. A lower U-factor and a higher ER mean better energy efficiency. Read more in this helpful article.
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends
Canadian Energy Efficiency Trends refers to the increasing trend of homeowners and businesses adopting energy-efficient practices and technologies. This is driven by the desire to reduce energy consumption and costs, while also promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. The Canadian government has also been promoting energy efficiency through various programs and policies, such as the Energy Efficiency Regulations, which establish minimum energy performance standards for various products. The trend towards energy efficiency is expected to continue as more people become aware of its benefits and as technology continues to improve. Read more...
FAQS
CAN YOU REBRICK MY ENTIRE HOME?
Unfortunately no. At Weaver, we typically do restoration work and re-bricking an entire house is more production type exterior work.
DO YOU DO ANY INTERIOR STONE WORK?
Even though we are primarily an exterior remodeling company, we can design and build Veneer fireplaces, as well as complete brickwork, stonework and repointing on any brick or stone surface in your home.
CAN YOU REPLACE MY DETERIORATING BRICK WINDOW SILLS WITHOUT MY WINDOW OR DOOR FALLING OUT?
Yes we can! The needed masonry work can be repaired around your windows or doors because the window or door is fastened to your house framing, not your masonry.
HOW DOES THE CONSULTATION PROCESS WORK?
After you request a quote from Weaver, one of our sales consultants will schedule a call with you to discuss your project. Following that, we conduct an on-site visit at your convenience, to assess the full scope of your needs and the project itself. Once we digest all the details from our visit, we develop and send you a custom proposal, explaining how we plan to get the job done right.
